These specially designed buildings are perfect for Golf Courses, Farms, Nurseries, Greenhouses and Landscape Contractors. Securall buildings help reduce the risk of poisoning and injuries among pesticide handlers and agricultural employees and will also help you protect against chemical spills, children and animal poisonings, theft, fire and unauthorized personnel.
Shelving & Lighting - Chemical Storage lockers/buildings comes with 3 tiers of shelving. Interior & Exterior lighting, a receptacle and load center.
Easy To Ship Securall's Chemical Storage Buildings (AG1200 and Below) are designed to fit in a standard high cube shipping container reducing shipping costs and labor time.
Hazardous Chemical Storage Reporting Requirements - Hazardous chemicals are any substances for which a facility must maintain a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, which lists the criteria used to identify a hazardous chemical. MSDSs are detailed information sheets that provide data on health hazards and physical hazards of chemicals along with associated protective measures. Hazardous chemical used or stored in the workplace, facilities must maintain a material safety data sheet (MSDS), and submit the MSDSs (or a list of the chemicals) to their State Emergency Response Commission (SERC), Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and local fire department. Any facility required under Occuptational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations to maintain material safety data sheets (MSDSs) for hazardous chemicals stored or used in the work place. Biohazardous Waste Storage Buildings
Biohazard waste is short for biohazardous waste and is also known as biomedical waste. Biohazard waste is any biological waste that is potentially infectious. Biohazardous waste is any waste saturated with liquid or semi-liquid blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM). Often, biohazardous waste is used interchangeably with such terms as regulated medical waste, biomedical waste, clinical waste, infectious waste and may vary in local or state regulations. We offer modular, prefabricated hazardous material storage buildings and design/build solutions to help you achieve compliance with complex safety and environmental regulations for biomedical waste storage. Biomedical waste shall be segregated from other wastes.
Biomedical waste shall be stored in a manner that preserves the integrity of the container and is not conducive to rapid microbial growth and/or putrefaction. Pathological waste, cultures, and discarded animal carcasses and body parts stored for more than 24 hours after packaging shall be refrigerated at a temperature of 45° F or below in a refrigerator or refrigerated space used only for biomedical waste.
EPA Dos and Don'ts - Water Treatment Chemicals Storage
Do not store liquid chemicals and dry chemicals together regardless of which compatibility group they fall into.
Do not store chemicals from different compatibility groups together. Water treatment chemicals are divided into six incompatible groups: Acids, Bases, Salts & Polymers, Adsorption Powders, Oxidizing Powders, and Compressed Gasses. To ensure the safety of system personnel and the system itself, store each of these groups of incompatible chemicals separately.
Warning - Do not store products such as paint, antifreeze, detergent, oil, grease, fuel, solvent, and beverages in the same area as water treatment chemicals.
Calcium Hypochlorite, a combination base/oxidizer should not be exposed to moisture or mixed with viscous fluid such as oil - Excessive heat, fire or explosion possible. Can provide an ignition source for combustible materials.
Warning - Concentrated Sulfuric Acid, a strong acid, should not be mixed with Concentrated Sodium Hydroxide, a strong base - Excessive heat and liquid explosion. Note: Highly concentrated acids and bases when mixed together will have a much more hazardous reaction than weak acids and bases.
Common Water Treatment Chemicals - Sodium Hypochlorite, Calcium Hypochlorite, Calcium Hydroxide, Calcium Oxide, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Carbonate, Chlorine, Sulfur Dioxide, Potassium Permanganate.
Securall Buildings have been tested to determine the amount of force they can withstand and were shown to withstand F-4 tornado force winds of 250 mph. The chart below demonstrates the wind speed that a particular length of wall will resist.
Upgrade package is available for Tornado Resistant Walls.
Exterior Wall Construction
Securall Hazamat Storage Buildings are all-welded using 12 gauge (B1600X-B8000X Models) and 16 gauge (B200X-B1200X Models) galvannealed steel outer walls and 20 gauge cold rolled steel inner walls provide maximum durability, weather resistance, and rigidity.
Fire Rating According to FM
Securall Fire-Rated Storage Buildings (12'H X 42'W Max Dimensions) carry the Factory Mutual System Approval label and have an FM Approved Fire Rated Wall & Roof Design. Wall and Roof are Tested at Intertek Testing Laboratories. Securall Fire-Rated Storage Buildings constructed based upon UL Fire Resistance Ratings classification criteria. Standard models are available in 2-hour and 4-hour fire ratings. Wall ratings are either 2 or 4 hour fire rated . Roof ratings are either 1.5 or 3 hour fire rated (Check with your local authority having jurisdiction for correct wall/roof rating needed). In addition, all Fire-Rated Buildings come with hydraulic operated self-closing, fire-rated doors and fire damper protected vents.
Industry's 1st & Only Intertek Tested and FM Approved 2 Hour Fire Rated wall construction built with 1.5 hour fire rated roof construction, 1.5 hour fire rated door construction, and multiple layers of ¾” gypsum ultracode wallboard. Air inlet vents with UL Listed and labeled fire damper with louvers. Dampers have a galvanized steel frame, curtain-type galvanized steel blades and a UL Listed 165° F fusible link.
Industry's 1st & Only Intertek Tested and FM Approved 4 Hour Fire Rated wall construction built with 3 hour fire rated roof construction, 3 hour fire rated door construction, and multiple layers of ¾” gypsum ultracode wallboard. Air inlet vents with UL Listed and labeled fire damper with louvers. Dampers have a galvanized steel frame, curtain-type galvanized steel blades and a UL Listed 165° F fusible link.
Please check with your local authority having jurisdiction for setback requirements and correct wall/roof rating needed.
Safety Floor Planking
Slip resistant planking 13" wide, 12 gauge galvanized steel with raised perforated buttons and debossed holes protruding down. Galvanized steel floor planking above sump area for maximum corrosion resistance. Floor planking designed to sustain a minimum uniformly distributed load of 250 pounds per square foot. Floor planking and supports are removable to facilitate sump cleaning in the event of a spill.
Explosion Relief Panel
Used in the construction of buildings designed to store Class IA and Class IB flammables. Explosion relief panels limit the damage within an enclosed hazardous location. When the panel(s) are subjected to an explosive force, the pressure relieving panel quickly vents the force before it causes major damage. The panels are designed to release at 20 psf.
Factory Mutual System Approval
Securall Fire-Rated Hazardous Material Storage Buildings (12'H X 42'W Max Dimensions) carry the Factory Mutual System Approval label and are constructed based upon UL Fire Resistance Ratings classification criteria. In addition, all Fire-Rated Buildings come with hydraulic operated self-closing, fire-rated doors and fire damper protected vents.
